Following the CBSE Examination and Evaluation System the academic year is divided into two Terms: I Term and II Term.First Term extends from April to September and Second Term from October to March.
In the First Term there will be one Formative Assessment of 10 Marks and a Summative Assessment of 80 Marks. In the Second Term also there will be 1 Formative Assessment and a Summative Assessment of 80 marks. Thus total marks of First Term will be 100 and Second Term will be 100. The two Formative Assessments will be done in the months of August & December and the First and Second Summative Assessments will be done in the months of September and March respectively.
The final promotions of a child will be decided on the basis of his/her performance in these Formative and Summative Assessments. Malpractice of any kind will warrant severe punishment such as, cancellation of the assessment ed results, detention or even dismissal.
The answer script of monthly assessment will be sent to
the parent/guardian through their son/daughter.
Pupils absent from any assessment will be considered to have failed in that assessment. No absentee will be re-examined.
